Our prayer this month focuses on Intentional Evangelism. Learn more below.
The Service of Consecration has marked our covenant together to continue the journey of becoming a Healthy Missional Church that is in front of us.
This month, let us continue to bathe the Vitality Process in prayer.
Intentional Evangelism as a Missional Marker means:
- We are burdened for the spiritual condition of those who do not yet know Christ.
- We have identifiable pathways for evangelism to take place in our ministries.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to build spiritual friendships and know how to share the Gospel as God-birthed opportunities arise.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 18:18-20
Let our prayers be heard this month, that First Covenant Church individuals and ministries are intentional in seeking the lost and sharing the Gospel as opportunities arise.
Will you pray:
Father God, You created light out of the darkness and us in Your image. You have told us to go and share your Good News, but often we do not know where to begin. It is easier to look the other way and head in the direction of ease, instead of the path you are calling us toward. Burden our hearts today for those that do not yet know you. Equip us daily to embrace the unknown and to walk into conversations boldly professing Your Truth. Put ministries and leaders in place to use their gifts to bring the Great Commission to life at First Covenant Church. We know the workers are few, but use us, Lord. Use each of us in a very unique and specific way that can help break down barriers, open doors and soften hearts. You are a mighty and perfect God, and we want to be Your hands and feet right here in our community. We know that you are a merciful and faithful Father, and that You are working for our good, and us for Your glory. In Jesus’ most Holy and perfect name we pray, Amen.
