Our prayer this month focuses on Transforming communities through active compassion, mercy, and justice ministries. Learn more below.
The Service of Consecration has marked our covenant together to continue the journey of becoming a Healthy Missional Church that is in front of us.
This month, let us continue to bathe the Vitality Process in prayer.
Transforming communities through active compassion, mercy, and justice ministries as a Missional Marker means:
- We are burdened for the hurting people in our community and beyond.
- We have identifiable pathways for compassion, mercy, and justice ministries to take place.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to see and address the hurts and the causes of hurt in our community and beyond.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
Let our prayers be heard this month, that First Covenant Church is intentional in using every opportunity to shine God’s love into our community.
Will you pray?
Heavenly Father, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. You are an amazing God! You sent Jesus to proclaim good news for the whole world; including the poor, the captive, and the oppressed. We ask that You now send Your Spirit to anoint us to proclaim this same good news in our community. Strip away any hatred and replace it with humility in our hearts; break down the barriers that separate us; unite us in links of love; and work through our struggle and strife to accomplish Your purposes on earth. Help us rise up out and turn to our neighbor with the same love that You have shown us. You know our hearts, Lord, and that You can use each of us in a very specific way for Your glory. We thank You for sending Your only Son, Jesus, to take on our sin and bear the weight of our shame. We ask all of these things in Jesus’ holy name. Amen
