Our prayer this month focuses on Global Perspective and Engagement. Learn more below.
The Service of Consecration has marked our covenant together to continue the journey of becoming a Healthy Missional Church that is in front of us.
This month, let us continue to bathe the Vitality Process in prayer.
Global Perspective and Engagement means:
- We raise the sights of our members beyond our congregation and community by developing a Biblical worldview, and we often pray for and reference global matters.
- We have identifiable pathways to support the cause of Christ globally.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to participate in the global dimensions of our ministry.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NIV)
Let our prayers be heard this month, that First Covenant Church is intentional in using every opportunity to shine God’s love into our community.
Will you pray?
Father God, we praise You and are in awe of the handiwork of Your creation. We humbly come to You, with our hearts wide open, knowing that we do not always see the needs of those around us. We reject those who are different from us and turn away from painful circumstances from around the world. You created Your people to be globally-minded, sending us out into every corner of the earth to share Your good news. We are One, brothers and sisters in Christ, to be the hands and feet to those who are in want. Fill our hearts with the same love and compassion You have for all of Your children. Turn our bodies into vessels that seek to serve You, by loving others. May they see You and Your love through the many ways we can give to them. We thank You for your continued grace and mercy, and the never-ending love that You have for us. We ask all of these things, in Jesus' most Holy and perfect name. Amen.
