What We Believe
As a congregation of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) (Click here for more info) First Covenant Church (FirstCov) holds to the foundational truths of Christian faith and life, affirming a freedom in Christ that allows for a variety of biblical action and expression to be woven into the fabric of our community.
Six affirmations form the tapestry of an ECC community:
- The centrality of the Word of God (the Bible)
- The necessity of new birth through Jesus Christ
- A commitment to the whole mission of the Church
- The Church as a fellowship of believers
- Conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit
- The reality of freedom in Christ
